Quality of Layer Chicken Eggs Supplemented with Areca Nut Skin Waste Infusion (Arace Catechu L) in Drinking Water

This study aims to determine the quality of layer chicken eggs including the Egg White Index, Egg Yolk Index, and Haugh Unit supplemented with areca nut waste infusion (Arace catechu L) in drinking water. The experiment was conducted in the Mix Farming Experience (MFE) livestock pen of the Muhammadiyah University of South Tapanuli Padangsidimpuan for 30 days. The treatments used were: P0: Drinking water without treatment (control), Areca nut waste, P1: 10 gr concentrated in 1 liter of drinking water, P2: 20 gr concentrated in 1 liter of drinking water, P3: 30 gr concentrated in 1 liter of drinking water. The results of the treatment showed the effect of areca nut waste infusion supplementation (Arace catechu L) in drinking water on the internal quality of the Haugh Unit (HU) of eggs (P <0.05). It can be concluded that the results of this study indicate that the condition of the eggs is classified as good after comparing it with the assessment of the National Standardization Agency in 2008 regarding SNI 3926 egg quality
